Accessibility
We want everyone, including people with disability, to be able to read, participate in and get support from SANE Forums.
Statement updated .
Our accessibility standard
We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines help make websites easier to perceive, navigate, understand and use with assistive technology.
This statement covers the SANE Forums application, including browsing discussions, account access and participation. Our accessibility review is in progress. Full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance has not yet been verified.
Tell us about an accessibility barrier
If you have difficulty using the forums or need information in another format, please contact SANE. You can also call our Service Enquiries team on 1800 187 263. The contact page has current service hours and contact options.
To help us understand the problem, you can tell us:
- The page address and what you were trying to do.
- What happened and what would help you access the information.
- Your browser, device or assistive technology, if you know it.
- How you would prefer us to contact you.
Please do not include passwords or private health information in an accessibility report. If you would like to make a complaint, our feedback and complaints policy explains the available options.
Using the forums
- Use your browser's zoom controls to make text and other content larger.
- Use Tab and Shift + Tab to move between links and controls. The “Skip to content” link takes you to the main page content.
- Use page headings and landmarks to navigate with a screen reader.
Interactive features, including signing in and writing a post, use JavaScript. If a feature does not work with your browser or assistive technology, please tell us using the contact options above.
Reviewing and improving accessibility
Our review plan combines automated checks with keyboard, screen reader and visual checks. Automated results alone do not show that every page and interaction meets WCAG.
Community posts and uploaded images can vary in accessibility. Linked websites are managed separately. Please tell us if any content creates a barrier so we can investigate and help you access the information.
We will update this statement as the review identifies limitations and verifies improvements.
